I sprained my wrist that morning and luckily a few beers let the pain ease off. it was sick to play with every other band...Age Of Plague definetly needs to come around these parts again and it was fucking sick to be able to watch some porn and listen to Burial at the same time!--thanks for the free porn. I wish I couldve watched Bane of Existence, but that douchebag faggot ass doorman (who was an unwelcoming prick to all of us literally the second we walked in the door) figured he'd kick me out right as BOE was going on. You would think that if you're gonna let people have beers outside, and if theres "no beer zones" theyd post a fucking sign or at least give SOME indication instead of an immediate boot. All things considered though I had a blast. |

| ______________________________ [Jul 9,2007 10:46am - Yeti ""] Brutal No. 2 had some really good music, it sounded like the singer was off but that could have been just the early sound. Burial was good too, pretty basic "slam" death but well put together. but Age of Plague was just awful. i'm only stating an objective opinion here. the singer was atrocious, he did one flat, monotone rattle-growl for every single word, it sounded like a really lame Chris Barnes on Tomb of the Mutilated. the two guitarists played 7 strings, and worked well together with the drummer. that was the best part of it. the bass player had this elaborate 6 string bass, but pretty much only played on the E string. he understood that there were other strings, but barely used them. he did have good voice though. and then there was the keyboardist. i have no idea what he was doing there, the band played hyper-blast grindish death, but this dude bounced around like a ghetto DJ, and did nothing except some sound clips between songs. he was so out of place. it was overall a bad performance. the guitarists and drummer need to run to the hills, because they had the potential. i only got to stay for the beginning of BOE, which sucked. not BOE, having to leave early. |
