| _______________________________ [Aug 12,2004 4:11am - hoser ""] Well we made it back from this show alive. What a fucking horribly long drive..... Ok, we had a great fucking time. Thanks to everyone who came out. I'm now voting John Dwyer for President because he has the coolest fucking collection of CD's in one box that I have ever seen. And Armagedon because she was cool shit. My review: Distrust: Holy shit these guys were fucking awesome. I haven't seen them play in YEARS. They kicked ass. Powerful set with some new mad assed shit. Hand Choke Neck: That's our band. I guess that we sounded pretty good. Shroud of Bereavement: Never cease to amaze me. Played a super-tight set and I could hear all of the vocals. It helped that the sound in this place was great. I'm still amazed at how many band members there are and how great that they hold it all together. The Nightmare Continues: Due to some unforseen shit, they couldn't play. HOWEVER, they STILL came to the show and watched all of us play our sets. One of the classiest and most kick ass bands out there. Can't wait to play with them again (Boston.) GREAT bunch of guys. ALL in ALL a great night, well worth the drive. | ____________________________________ [Aug 12,2004 10:18am - dyingmuse ""] i beleive vallhalla is still on! ok i was really digging distrust last night, i was never that impressed with their cd's i mean they are cool but nothing like they were last night....damn they were awesome!!!! hell yeah kev is an awesome drummer. and they had energy \m/ hand choke neck FUCK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! the club has the best fucking sound in there, and man did hcn prove my point. you couldnt even tell there was no bass. they were so fucking brootal!!!!! god damn!!!!! i fucking love this band. their new singer is sick. and what energy. jake freaks the fuck out. hell yeah, these guys own!!!!! tnc. i was very dissappointed that they couldnt play and the drummer i (think) was a bit gay, dood, sorry the show wasnt as "high profile" as you wanted it to be. and it helps to look at people when you talk to them, instead of being all too cool for school. after all it was a wed, and you guys live in town, where are all of your peeps. and if you waited till the bands got set up people did come out of the bar area. it wasent the best turn out, but still 30 or so people! the rest of the guys were stand up for making it back to the club!!!! and i like them guys too. and i was really looking forward to having my head blown off by them....ohh well maybe next time. sob yeah yeah thats us and we played ok we have a show friday in R.I. with the accursed at club 305 and the sat show with hcn too so thanks for everyone venturing out to R.I. to support all the bands. and thanks to john dwyer of pathos for bringing the metal. it was a good time! im still sore from rocking out to hcn's set!! \m/ \m/ you mother fuckers better go to manch on sat!!!! |

| _______________________________________ [Aug 12,2004 11:21pm - diamond_dave ""] first off, i'd like to apologise to everyone for not playing. that said, the reason only two of us came back was that in all honesty, we were all fucking exhausted. on guy has a two year old son and a family to take care of (i know some of you guys do too), and someone else had to pack to all sorts of shit to catch a plane in the morning. it's not really a secret what happened last night, and i know everybody is pissed at one guy in particular. in his defense though, i do have a couple of things to say. one is that like i said, we were all exahusted from work/other bands/etc. he also did have quite a chunk taken out of his finger due being bitten by a his pit bull which was affecting his playing. one of the things that was brought up is that we didn't play because there wasn't enough people there, and that being close to our home we should have drawn more. fair enough-- but to our credit, we did tell everyone we could get in touch with about the show, but there's only so much you can do in two days. and to be perfectly honest, i have to agree with the point that the show could have been better promoted. i'm not knocking anyone or anything, but as constructive critcism, i didn't see anything about that show except for on this board. that said, we wouldn't cancel a show solely because of a poor turnout. we drove to canada and played for like 10 kids. our drummer's old band played a show in NH for one kid. there was lots of other shit going on and i'm sorry we brought our shit with us. but greg is our drummer and our friend, and although we ALL have disagreements from time to time, we have to support each other. we're all human and we all have our foul moments. everyone's entitled to it once in a while i guess. i'm just sorry for that way it went down, and i'm truly sorry to anyone that we pissed off. -tnc. |
